Especially for our clients we prepare tour information in dutch,
english, german, so you can easily find all the interesting places
on this beautiful island. For motorbikes we offer free helmets,
for cars and bicycles there are child seats available on request.

SHOULD I BOOK WITH SMART? |

think as you the customer does. Our background in Tourism and
our knowledge of the rental business, is the driving force of
this company. We believe that “small details make a big
difference”. |
Q. IS SMART
THE CHEAPEST RENTAL COMPANY? |
| A.
. The market is big, and it is a possibility to find
a cheaper car elsewhere. We try to keep our prices on a very
reasonable level, but quality and service has its price. Compare
our prices and our fleet for example, and you will find out
that our smallest category A car is a 4 door with air-condition
as standard, which is by other companies a category B car. (That
is why we are the cheapest with high standards – compare
our prices and categories and you will see the difference.)
We also provide each customer with a large road map, made as
an extra by us, with descriptions in 3 languages. We are also
exclusive in some vehicles, like cabrios or SCOTT mountain bikes |
Q. HOW
CAN I BOOK A VEHICLE? |
| A.
You just have to fill out the reservation form and
send it out. As soon as possible, you will receive an e-mail
from SMART as a confirmation of the booking. |
Q. DO I
HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING IN ADVANCE? |
| A.
With SMART you don’t pay anything before you get the vehicle
you booked. At the time the rental period starts, you pay the
agreed amount directly to our Representative. We at SMART-RENTALS
believe, that you get a better feeling if you pay after you
saw the real vehicle you are going to use, instead of just looking
a picture of it. |

OLD IS YOUR FLEET? |
| A.
An average of 7 months for cars and 18 months for motorbike |

WHAT DRIVING LICENSE DO I NEED TO RENT A CAR? |
| A.
If you live in the E.C.C., your local full driving license is
enough. Otherwise you need an International driving license.
In any case, it must be a valid license held for at least one
year. |
Q. WHAT DRIVING LICENSE DO I NEED TO RENT A MOTORBIKE? |
| A.
If you live in the E.C.C., except HOLLAND, your car
license enables you to drive a scooter up to 50 c.c. For more
than 50 c.c., you need a motorbike license. For all other countries,
including HOLLAND, up to 50 c.c. a scooter license. For more
than 50 c.c. a motorbike license. In any case, it must be a
valid license held for at least one year. |
Q. WHAT
IS THE TRAFFIC LAW IN GREECE? |
| A. The
same as in any EUROPEAN COMMUNITY COUNTRY. |
Q. DO I HAVE A GOOD INSURANCE WITH SMART? |
A.
There is no doubt about it. The Car price list includes already
a Collision Damage Waiver, and Theft Insurance, with NO EXCESS
AT ALL, in case of an accident. Tyres and undercarriage are
not covered, but if you wish, you can choose the Full
Insurance Package, AS AN EXTRA SERVICE. which is charged
for Group A, B & C, cars 2 € (Euros) per day, for all
other categories 5€ (Euros) per day. The Full Insurance
Package is available only for cars.
The motorbike list includes also a C.D.W., with a small amount
of excess, depending on the bike category. So, leave any trouble
with us and you just enjoy your holiday. |
Q. WHAT HAPPENS IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR BREAK DOWN? |
| A. We have a 24-hour road
service on Zakynthos, and we provide you with emergency Tel.
No. at the beginning of the rental. You just have to call us
immediately, and within 1-hour approx. we will bring you another
vehicle, so you don’t loose valuable time. |
Q. CAN
I TAKE THE VEHICLE OUTSIDE ZAKYNTHOS? |
| A.
It is not possible for any car, scooter, motorbike
or pushbike. |
Q. HOW
CAN I FIND YOU? |
| A.
Our main office is in Agios Sostis 10 minutes walk from Laganas. All tourist resorts are 3-4 km around
that location. But if you reserved a vehicle,
we will deliver it to you at the Airport or at your Hotel. |

DO I HAVE TO PAY ANY EXTRAS OR DEPOSITS? |
| A. There are no hidden
extra costs.The price list includes already a very good insurance
package, and the extra cost in case you want to cover tires
and undercarriage is listed below. No deposits are required. |

Q. DO I
NEED A VEHICLE ON MY VACATION? |
A. You
can always use taxis or buses, (if you find one at any time),
but you will end up paying more than a rented car.
It would be a pity, to be on this beautiful island, without
discovering it on your own.
Choose the feeling of freedom to ride a bike or move around
with a car on the island and enjoy a bit of the Greek way of
living. |

Consider the fact that you will have to walk around all the
rental places, losing valuable time, and finally you will not
get so much information as you do from the internet. You may
also not find immediately what you looking for. And of course,
it is going to be much more expensive. |

Q. DO I
HAVE TO SIGN ANYTHING? |
A.
At the time you receive your vehicle, you must sign a rental
agreement with SMART, such as that shown on our internet site.
This agreement is written in the two major spoken languages
in Europe, English and German.
The front page shows the details of the rented vehicle and
the rented person or driver as well as the accepted insurance.
On the reverse you can read the terms and conditions. We believe
that a well informed client is a happy client, and it saves
you and us valuable time.

Q. WHAT
ABOUT PETROL? |
| A.
All our vehicles use unleaded normal petrol, which is cheaper
than any other north European country. Lately the liter
price was
1,00 Euro aprox. There are more than enough Petrol stations all over
the island, and most of them are open every day till 12 o'clock
at night. We usually deliver the cars full of petrol, and expect
them to be returned in the same way. The client pays for his
own petrol. |
Q. METHOD
OF PAYMENTS? |
| A. We
accept only MASTERCARD and VISA without any extra charge. |
Q. DO I
HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING FOR DELIVERY-COLLECTION ? |
| A. NO.
Delivery and collection of the car is free of charge 7 days
a week from 8:00 a.m to 21:00 p.m.. Delivery and collection
outside these hours is subject to an additional charge of 15
Euros each. |
